About me

Francesca olivia

Founder of Uplifted Therapy
HCPC Registered Psychotherapist

I am a trauma-responsive creative psychotherapist and EMDR psychotherapist. I have experience in addressing adverse experiences and challenges. My approach is empathetic, non-judgemental, and person-centred. Over the past five years, I have run my own private practice, working with both adults and children from diverse backgrounds. Prior to this, I have worked for charities, residential care settings, and across all education sectors, providing therapy and delivering therapeutic workshops on a regular basis.

My practice integrates neuroscience to change neural pathways through the brain-body connection, focusing on embodiment. I specialize in attachment, anxiety, and trauma-informed care. With 15 years of experience working with children, I am deeply passionate about a child-centred approach, ensuring the child's voice is always central to any decision-making process. As the founder of Uplifted Therapy, I am committed to the ethos that the child should be at the heart of all decisions made about them.

In my work with adults, I have supported refugees, students from Chester and Liverpool universities, NHS staff members who faced challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, and corporate private clients. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen and heard as their true selves, and my goal is to remove barriers and help individuals connect with their authentic selves.
